What is read during Sujud Sahwi?
Sujud sahwi is an additional worship in a series of prayers in the form of two prostrations, which are performed before or after greetings.
To distinguish between the first prostration and the second prostration, it must be done sitting between the two prostrations, but not as sitting between the two prostration in general prayer.
As for what is read when someone is prostrating sahwi, it is a matter of khilafiyah among the scholars.
Some scholars view that there is no special lafadz to be read, because indeed we do not find a firm and valid argument about it.
So in their view, the pronunciation of the prostration of sahwi is the same as the other prostrations, namely subhana rabbiyal a'la:
سبحان ربي الأعلى
Glory be to Allah Most High
While some other scholars recommend reading special lafadz, even though no firm or valid arguments are found. The pronunciation is subhana man la yanamu wala yashu:
سبحان من لا ينام ولا يسهو
Glory be to Allah the Lord who never sleeps and never forgets.
